You can help China in the process of "Learning to Understand"

They say that „He who could foresee affairs three days in advance would be rich for thousands of years”. And to the outsider it almost seems like China has been able to do exactly that for the last five thousand years. A history and cultural heritage that is unmatched on the planet and diversity that seeks comparison, a country of contrasts in mentalities, worldviews, expectations and dreams.

“From the wide open and empty panoramas of Tibet to the push and shove of Shànghǎi, from the volcanic dishes of Sìchuān to beer by the bag in seaside Qīngdǎo, a journey through this colossus of a country is a mesmerising encounter with the most populous and perhaps most culturally idiosyncratic nation on earth.” Lonely Planet

Within the diverse mix of mindsets of the third largest country in the world, people share one common most important value – Education. Parents have long ago recognized education as the key element on their children’s’ road to personal and financial success. And this value and attitude directly reflects upon the image of a certain group of people in China. Teachers, regardless of whom they teach, trainers and professors are recognized as leaders and are valued as role models and pillars of society.

All AIESEC Exchange programs require a certain amount of ‘AIESEC experience’. AIESEC experience is a quality standard that we as an organization have given to ourselves worldwide. Our partner countries expect that a trainee in their country knows about AIESEC, its structures and ways of working. If you have never heard of this before, do not worry. After your recruitment until you leave you will have plenty of time to accumulate the required experience by participation in events and involvement in local activities.
